Race Notes for Super D
The Super D is 1 long timed Stage from Top to Bottom of parts of our trail system here in Ashland Or. It will combine trails such as Missing Links, Marty’s (No Jump Line or Big Rock garden) Caterpillar, Lizard and Jabberwocky. The Start could be as High as the lower Bull Gap trail, but snow melt will determine the actual start and that will be marked by the Friday before the race. We will announce the start at Packet Pickup on Friday the 16th.
Start time: 10am We will start the Pro’s first followed by the Cat 1’s / Jr 14-18/ Cat /2’s/ Jr 13U
Getting to the Start: This is your responsibility! There is a shuttle service Ashland Mountain Adventures) https://g.co/kgs/yPaVami that can get you close to the start, but not all the way to it. Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will be at The Handlebar https://g.co/kgs/G93hSy2 bike shop in downtown Ashland on 4/16 from 4pm-6pm and Saturday 4/17 from 8am to 8:30am at the AMA Shuttle Pickup (The Stratford Inn) This is right next to Safeway shopping center.
We highly advise you pick up your packet on Friday or you may be late getting to your start!! We will not start you 10 minutes after the last racer has left the starting line!!! SO DON’T BE LATE TO THE START!!!
The race will begin at 10am with Pros going first followed by Cat 1 (experts), Cat 2 (Sports), Juniors, then Cat 3 (beginners). Racers will be sent in 1 minute intervals. Passing: If you are caught by the rider behind you, it is your responsibility to move over as soon as it is safe to do so! Please be courteous if over taking another rider and vocalize which side you will pass on.
Results: We must wait for the Timing devices and backup paperwork to come down the mountain to tabulate the results. This will happen as the last rider has finished. It takes us about 30 minutes to do this and review it all before we post the results. Results will be posted in the Awards area (Fairy Ponds) this is where will have a light lunch for racers also. Awards: We will have Awards within 20 minutes of posting Results.

Welcome to the Spring Fling Gromduro! This year's event will be a 4 stage Enduro specifically designed for our youth. It will encompass trails on the lower ⅓ of Mt Ashland and be highlighted by some of the most popular trails on the West coast!
Packet pickup: We will have packet pickup on Friday 5/16 at The Handlebar https://www.handlebarashland.com/# We will also have packet pickup on Saturday am from 8am until 8:30am at the Awards (Fairy ponds) area right across from the climb to stage 3. Racers must pickup their own packet accompanied by a parent or guardian and sign a waiver! No exceptions!

YOU MAY NOT USE A SHUTTLE FOR YOUR RACE or you will be DISQUALIFIED!!!
However: 10U may get a tow from an adult on a bike and 14 and under can be followed down the race course by an adult.
Start time: 10am this if for Beginners at the top of Stage 1 at 10am We will start the older age groups first followed by the younger ages. Experts and Sports will start at the top of Stage 3 at 10am, with Experts going first with the older age groups followed by the younger age groups then the Sports and their age groups in the same order. You will need to start pedaling with enough time to reach your start stages in time!! Beginners will need at least 45 minutes and Expert /Sports will need 20 minutes to reach your first stages.
Beginners: You will be racing 2 stages. You will start with a 2.5 mile climb up the 2060 “Loop Road” to the start of Stage 1, where you will race down “Lizard trail” to “Rabbit Hole trail” and finish at the white rabbit parking area. Then you will transfer ½ mile to the start of Stage 2: “Mimsy and BTI” and then you are finished! When you are done you can go to the awards area where we will have food and beverage while waiting for all racers to be done before the Awards.
Sports: You will start you race with a short 1 mile climb up “Lower Wonder Trail” located right across from our Awards area and climb up to the Start of Stage 3: “Wasabi” (you will start following the Experts on this stage, and finish at the bottom of this trail. You will then do the 2.5 mile climb up to the start of Stage 1 and then race Stages 1 and 2 in that order (Same as the Beginners) and then your race is finished. You can then head to the Awards area for food and beverage.
Experts: You will start with a 1 mile climb up “Lower Wonder Trail” located right across from our Awards area to the start of Stage 3 “Wasabi” and race to the bottom of this trail to the finish. Then transfer up the 2.5 mile climb to the Start of Stage 1 and 2 (same as the beginners). Once finished with those Stages you will climb back up the “Loop Road” to the start of Stage 4 Jabberwocky and race to the bottom of this trail and you are finished with your race! You can then head over to our Award area for food and beverage.
Results: We will post results shortly after the last Expert racers have finished, so for the Beginners and Sports there will be some time in between, but Don’t Leave! We will be announcing Awards as soon as results have been seen by all racers and a 15 minute period for review.
Awards: awards will be in the “Fairy Ponds” across from the start of the Climb up to Stage 2 and will be well signed.
